Thanks guys we where working on tha amp during a hurricane late night drinking captain morgan. So the shortest lead off the cap is + I hope because if not the caps are in wrong. I wasn't at his house when he powered up the amp. He said he used a trolling motor battery off his sons lill boat not sure...

I don't have a pic of the solder he used. I am not around his amp at this time just to be sure the caps where installed correctly I took a couple pics of my 275 and the caps I have which are the same that he has. What is the + and- on the amp and what is the + and - on the cap.

I would say do it . The offroad amp is VERY rare the 2500 isn't. Shit big d might even have one I have a 2500 but it needs a lot of work not even sure if it is even repairable scott if yours is in very good shape internally and out side don't

I have ran the 2500 and the 2250 years ago in my spl truck two different systems the 2250 definitely puts out more power I also ran my 2250's 4 of them on 8 15's each one pushing 2 15's at 2 ohms mono I wouldn't recommend that now days because of they are no longer made this was when they first came...

Also the amp was never tested before changing a he caps out. He bought it from a guy that lives around here the guy is a little shady also. Would changing out the caps make the amplifier act like this?

Ok will give that a shot.

Ok guys need some more help my buddy powered the amp up using a 5 amp fuse the amp isn't blowing the fuse but he said that the green power light is flashing and the leds inside the amp are not on. He did say that when he powered the amp he heard a small pop noise. Any ideas

Kirghriz I think you are referring to jacampb2 bass cube remotes I have one from him that I got a couple years back but haven't installed it yet I think that is how his works.

There are a couple of guys who do amp repairs here. I would get someone who knows what they are doing amp looks to be in great shape no need to possibly mess it up.

Vwdude I think he was referring to the color of the amp.I believe kg1961asked what color it was but his post was edited. ...I could be wrong

Take a pic or two of the amps guts more importantly the ones that vwdude is referring to no one here wants your amp to catch fire. Did you get the fan shroud with the amp?
