nothing against pg, but i wonder if the new stuff simply isn't going to be ready in time for SEMA. If the new stuff isn't ready by then it might be difficult to justify the outrageous costs often associated with trade shows.

I was blown away by the one I heard. It's the ONLY thing JL I'd buy.
Absolutely. I am more than pleased with it. I've had many jl subs over the years and this on is it! I like my 12w6v2 also, but am aching for a pair of nice tens.

Very nice and simple. Are you going to upgrade the speakers when you add an amp? I have thought about adding a ZX450 to my wifes stock speakers to add a little bit better sound and a small sub. But most people say that it is not worth it to add an amp to stock speakers. I think its better than what...

you can wire the rear battery in series to the one under the hood and be GTG. I know an installer in ATL that runs 8 ga wire to his personal amps using a rear battery with no problems! He has a multiple amp setup, 3way front and a single 12" that will rock many systems with 3x or 4x as many sub...

I would like to know if the 28-30 Hz tuning mentioned above accounts for cabin gain?

Wife's 4runner

my wife's 4runner has the stock jbl stereo so we just added an jl 8w7 powered from a zx400-ti. the audio control eqs is a bit overkill but still nicely integrates the amp with the factory head unit offering a built in line driver and eq for the low end. she listens to a lot of r&b so the bass ha...

actually 9.3" is could be the hieght, but if this is the case we still need the length of the port. If someone gave you only 2 dimensions for a port, they are likely talking about a 6" round port that is 9.3" long.

I agree. If you are just getting started, get a prefab box and get everything installed. Hang around here and learn from some of these guys and you just might be building your own custom enclosure in a few months? Welcome to th phorum! 8)

running 2 subs at half their rated power will yield similar output to running a single sub at full power. (atleast in theory). I would run the roadster 66 and a single sub and think you will be pleased with its results.

ports essentially work based on their internal volume (like the box itself). as long as your port is 6" wide by 9.3" long, you should be ok but you don't mention the height of the port. If you are using a slot port, keep the height the same dimension. So, depending on the geometry of your ...
