2x Ti12D Elite - ARC AUDIO 4000SE

Post by KLoNe »

Hey guys;

Looking to run 2x Ti12d Elites off an ARC AUDIO 4000SE with them setup in this sort of fashion:

Image

Just wondering:

- What's the best sized enclosure for these in an SQ setup? - I've read the literature, but just seeing what people have found best since that has been release years ago.

- Will the Ti12d's love 2kW+ into each of them?

Cheers,

Chris

gonna need more space than what those quarters are offering... think it is something like 2.5 CSI not sure - have to check the specs in the manual on line.. but i know they will require chunks of air that dont look to be present in current set up/install

minimum 6 cubes for 2 of those subs. not gonna work in those kind of enclosures. IMO

Sure it'll work.......

Though................. :hmm:

They'll only be 12" between them.............. 8)

Or be like so many others and face them into the car with a plexi window to show the goods and drop the amps to the sides....... :thumleft:
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

they will love that much power. you have to remeber how deep these subs are and they do need some real air space

Are you going sealed or ported? For sealed 1.4 cu. ft. ^2 each is what was recommended to me. 2K watts each would be KILLER!!!

2.75 ported would be a winner.

tune them at about 31 and hold the f### on!
You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!

One of the nicest sounding setups I have heard used two Tantrum 1200.1's to a single Elite 12D. They were turned down to 2000w for music, and my god those Elites loved every drop of that power! That was in a 1.4 sealed box too! With two of them on 4kw I don't think you will need to worry about going ported (unless of course you are competing in SPL).

Or.....if you just want to be louder than most.....

Thanks for the input guys!

Very keen to start getting some plans drawn up for this but yeah, I knew space would be a huge issue

I sure hope you have a big alternator and a couple of extra battery's. Haven't seen one before but they are very badass from what I've read.

280A Custom Alt is being installed and there will be 2x D34 Yellow Tops installed.

Power/GND will all be 00AWG; 2 runs for PWR to the 4000SE.

This is my sealed to spec box. PG manual says 1.8cu.ft. minus .2 sub volume and that brings you to 1.6cu.ft. for musical/sq spec. You're gonna love them :)

I just posted a pic of my box as a comparison to having barely any extra room in the trunk running 2 elites. :)
