this here is what I am looking at for filling the holes on the sink. aluminum welding is what it is and what I think would be best.. I think/feel it would be best to keep consistant with having aluminum fill the holes versus any different metal as various metals disapate heat differently.. and would, I/the amp, not take kindly to any hot spots under the transistors.

All the MS stuff is gone and all thats left is Sapphire and M100 ps insulators, none of which looked useful for your amp.

NOW it is ready for the PC'ing process to get FRANKED

Nickel plated 2250 - but dont go getting all wet on me...- it prolly wont be until middle of summer or so....

my buddy and his other crew members showed me some samples of other colors they are able to do for anodization process... They had a blue, gold, red, etc etc... I will take pictures for others to see... in the event that someone has a sink they would like re-worked to some degree.... I can have anything anodized here by the guys I know at the shop....

I creamed my jeans when I saw their gold anodized sample... WHOA That would be killer dood - IMO

for me it was real easy.. I have shop here locally that can/will do the work.. to give you guys some idea... I paid 50 for the stripping process... but the coloring/anodizing (not stripping) I have no idea about as of yet... I will maybe later today when i see them guys again...

So i was thinking that if anyone needed stuff done (anodized), ship to me if you would like and I can make it happen... but for anodizing you would want to have it stripped down if it is PC'ed, if anodized (the black sink) dont worry about it, because they will strip and then re-anodize a color of your liking....

But as far as the actual process - I am unfamiliar nor am i familiar with what equipment is required to do so.

Prolly not exactly what you were leading up to... but thats the info i have and know to share...

OH and when I get ready to bring stuff to go get nickel plated i will put out a line to folks and see if anyone else wants to get in on that with me... I learned that there is a minimum charge of like $150.00 for any job, but i gave them the dimensions of the MS1K I want to have done and they said that the minimum should cover that and then some, so i thought i would see if anyone wants to get in on it and we can all split it...

i would want to do a bunch at a time for economy sake, and see what we could get down all for that minimum of 150.00 charge...

the raw aluminum looks great!! what happend to using "easy off" oven cleaner to remove the anodizing?? I used that back in the day to remove the anodizing on a xtr475 and it worked great! the fumes were a bitch though!

new one on me, I'll be looking at giving it a shot with something real quick though- thats nice - concerned about the fin area(s) on the sink though given the inconsistancies of the layout

now that I think about it, if it was that easy that would suck, but good to know for future...
At first I thought I got away with it, like they werent gonna charge me... but i get call this morning from the surpervisor and said that I needed to wrap things up, given Ihad left with sink... but all in a nice way, he knows me and shit...

On a one time afair I am okay with 50.00 but if work were to start coming in more consistantly, i would hope for some price breaks for qty.

Wow Matt, this project is coming along nicely. It looks like you are much further ahead than I am on my MQ475 project, but I am catching up on you…
